High Winds Blow Down Newly Constructed Homes In Dallas
We had some wicked winds recently in North Texas and they left quite a bit of destruction in their wake. The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex was hit particularly hard.
In the video below, you see several houses under construction that were blown to the ground by the winds. After watching the video shared by Dallas-Fort Worth home inspector Randle Loftin on Facebook, it sounds like shotty construction practices could be to blame.
As he points out in the clip, you hear people talk about how poorly built structures could fall over with one strong wind, and that’s the case in these houses. Loftin even admits to being nervous while inspecting one of the houses that didn’t fall over, and he points out the various discrepancies in the construction.

Hopefully the video reaches someone in charge of the construction company, and they take action to correct the issues. Because it would be a shame to lose all that money and man hours the next time a round of high winds rolls through the area. And you know it won’t be long.
