Frightening Dallas Motorcycle Crash Caught on Video

A Dallas motorcycle rider is lucky to be alive after a horrific crash on I-635. The stretch of freeway known as the “Dallas Autobahn” is known for wild antics, and as you can see in the video below, sometimes things go very wrong. 

I don’t know how those folks on crotch rockets do it. I never could get comfortable on a motorcycle, so it’s hard for me to wrap my head around people going over 100 mph on one while whipping through traffic in the city. 

Truth is, I’ve never been much of an adrenaline junky. My idea of a good time is chilling and having a couple of drinks, watching a ball game. Not pushing 200 mph in any sort of vehicle, much less a crotch rocket.

Now, I have no earthly idea exactly how fast the rider was going before they went down in a blaze of smoke and sparks. But they were flying past traffic that typically moves along at a fast pace of around 5-10 mph over the speed limit. 

My first thought when I saw the video was that there was no way the person survived, but that wasn’t the case. They somehow walked away from the accident with only a broken arm. 

Hopefully, the rider learned their lesson, and their daredevil days are over. Otherwise, it might not end so well next time.
