(Dallas, Texas) Most people in Texas and even those living outside of the Lone Star State understand that there are consequences to your actions. It doesn’t matter who you are or what position you hold, and recently there were three Dallas police officers that learned that lesson after investigations showed their misconduct.

Who Were the Officers Fired from the Dallas Police Department?

According to WFAA, Dallas Police Chief, Daniel Comeaux terminated all three employees after investigations confirmed wrongful actions.

The former employees who lost their jobs include Sergeant Matthew Terry, Research Specialist Patsy Evans, and Supervisor Sheri Brown.

What Misconduct Took Place for Them to Lose Their Jobs?

Investigations show that Sergeant Matthew Terry was found to have been untruthful to a supervisor, driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, and being arrested for DWI with a child passenger, which is a state jail felony. Terry was assigned to the Central Patrol Division and had been employed with the Dallas Police Department since 2006.

Patsy Evans had been with the department since 2012 and was working on the Operation Technology Unit before being terminated for unlawful food stamp use, greater than $200, which is a third-degree felony.

Sheri Brown had been with the Dallas Police Department since 2004 working in the Records Unit. She was also terminated for unlawful food stamp use, greater than $200.
