Texas Lottery Officials Confirm Two New Texas Millionaires
The jackpot for Friday night's Mega Millions drawing was $535 million. That top prize will now head north to $575 million because nobody matched all six numbers in the latest drawing.
However, two Mega Millions players matched all five non-Mega Ball numbers. One was from Tennessee, while the other was from Texas.
Million Dollar Ticket Sold in Abilene
The million-dollar winning Texas ticket was sold at this Alon 7-11 store on North First Street in Abilene.
The Texas winner opted not to spend the extra dollar to Megaply his ticket, which caused him or her to miss out on tripling their winnings. The Tennessee winner DID Megaply which means that person ups their winnings to $3 million.
Next Mega Millions Drawing
That $575 million jackpot will be up for grabs with the next drawing which will take place on Tuesday, August 27. The estimated cash payout for the top prize is $285 million.
Powerball Jackpot
The next drawing for the $34 million Powerball game will take place Saturday, August 24. The estimated cash payout for the jackpot is nearly $17 million.
Powerball produced two $1 million winners in Texas on July 29. Those winning tickets were sold in Corpus Christi and Hempstead.
Another Texas Millionaire
On Thursday, August 22, somebody matched all five numbers of the Texas Two Step game. That winning ticket worth $1,250,000 was sold at this Wal-Mart Fuel Center in Plano.
Another Chance to Win a Million
The Texas Lottery has another chance for a big payout tonight (August 24). The Lotto Texas jackpot is now up to $13.75 million.
