When you think Texas baseball you think, "I'm going to need a drink."

Well, good news baseball fans. The Astros have teamed up with Karbach to create Crawford Bock. (Get it?)

The Houston Chronicle reports that the new beer will be the official alcoholic beverage of the Astros, and is "the result of years of wishful thinking from Karbach".

"Most of us have been lifelong Astros fans, and we've been thinking about this for a few years, Karbach's brand manager David Graham said during an interview last week. Graham described the brew as "subtly malty, very smooth, very clean and when you take a sip of it, it's reminiscent of Cracker Jacks, in terms of the flavor we get."

In fact, they recommend pairing the beer with peanuts and Cracker Jacks. Really ties the whole baseball theme together, don't you think?

"What's even easier than jacking a dinger into the Crawford Boxes? How about cracking open a delicious Crawford Bock? Karbach Crawford Bock is so smooth you can easily stretch that single into a double. Pairs perfectly with peanuts, stadium dogs, and a good 7th inning stretch! A portion of proceeds from every Crawford Bock go to the Astros Foundation!"

Yep, you read that correctly. When you crack one of these open, you'll be helping support a good cause. More reason to drink.

So even if you can't make it to the games this summer, you can drink like you're there. Depending on how the season goes, you're probably going to need to.

"Oh, it's an ending of an inning. That means we're drinking a beer!"
