Harker Heights Police Seeking Information on Suspected Thief

Police in Harker Heights are hoping someone can help them get in touch with the man in the surveillance still above. He's suspected of stealing from a jewelry store.

Detectives allege he committed theft at the James Avery store at 201 E Central Texas Expressway on Sunday, September 22. They're asking anyone who may recognize him or have any information about the crime to contact them at (254) 953-5400.

A co-worker and I were discussing the image above, and it's remarkable how clear it is. We get so many convenience stills that look like background characters in an early Playstation 1 game, so it's remarkable to see such a clear picture of a suspect for once.

Whatever camera system they've got installed at James Avery, I recommend area convenience stores, banks, and Walmarts get their hands on the same system.

The suspect may have (allegedly) stolen some jewelry, but that security setup stole my heart.
