Temple Fire & Rescue crews had their hands full Monday afternoon battling flames at a home on North 15th Street.

Fire crews were dispatched to the home in the 100 block of N. 15th at 3:22 PM. When they arrived, they saw thick smoke billowing from the front door of a single-story home and flames flickering inside. They entered the house to search for anyone who might be inside. Thankfully, no one was found and blaze was extinguished.

It turns out that the three adults two children inside the house managed to get out safely before fire crews arrived. They're receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.

Firefighters had the scene under control by 3:24 PM and cleared the scene by 5:17 PM. The department responded with 10 units and 24 personnel. Temple Police, Temple EMS and Atmos Energy also responded.
