Certain Appliances Sales Tax Free Over Memorial Day Weekend

The Texas State Comptroller's Office has announced that there will be a sales tax free holiday over Memorial Day weekend for certain appliances.

KAMC News reports the holiday will last from Saturday, May 23rd through Monday, May 25th.

Air conditioners at $6k or less, refrigerators at $2k or less, ceiling fans, incandescent and fluorescent light bulbs, clothes washers, dishwashers, dehumidifiers and programmable thermostats will all be sales tax free over the weekend.
