American Airlines has announced that flights will be booked at full capacity starting next week.

According to a press release from American Airlines, starting July 1, flights will see an increase in passengers.

"As more people continue to travel, customers may notice that flights are booked to capacity starting July 1. American will continue to notify customers and allow them to move to more open flights when available, all without incurring any cost."

COVID-19 cases across the United States are on the rise, and just this morning Texas Governor, Greg Abbott announced the closure of bars, and has limited restaurant capacity back to 50%.

While the airline will no longer follow social distancing standards, AA is promising guests that they are committed to cleanliness.

"American disinfects every aircraft, including hand-cleaning seat buckles, seats, tray tables and other surfaces. The airline also applies an electrostatic spray inside the aircraft every seven days which kills 99.9999% of viruses and bacteria within 10 minutes."
