News 10 is reporting that Tuesday police revealed that a woman who accused multiple men of trying to kidnap her in December lied.

Sierra Marie Quintanilla, 23, admitted to police on Saturday at the McLennan County Jail that she submitted a false police report.

KWTX said, "On Dec. 14, Quintanilla ran to a convenience store and said she’d just escaped from an attempted kidnapping. The woman told police that the father of her child and another man drove up at around 10:50 a.m. while she was in the parking of the complex at 5101 Hawthorne Drive."

This turned out to not be the case when Quintanilla recanted her story this past Saturday.

“The child's father exited the vehicle and began assaulting the female before dragging her into the vehicle by her hair. Once in the vehicle, the victim was threatened with a gun and the assault continued,” said Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton back on the day of the alleged kidnapping.

This false report caused police to put out a warning to the entire Region 6 area as well as leading to the stopping of one potential suspect's vehicle.

It is unclear if Quintanilla is still in jail for creating this false report.
